1. Results are opinions based on the photos you submit
Every Legit Wear result, including "Authentic", "Fake" and "Unable to verify", is our opinion based only on the photos submitted at the time of the check. It is not a guarantee of authenticity, and it is not a statement from, or endorsed by, any brand.
2. What a photo check can't do
A photo check can only assess what is visible in the photos. It can't verify internal parts, materials, weight, smell, sound or anything else that isn't shown, and good copies can get many visible details right.
3. Assessment Certificates
An Assessment Certificate applies only to the exact item shown in the photos it was issued on. It does not transfer to any other item. Editing, copying, tampering with or misusing a certificate voids it, and we may withdraw any certificate at any time.
4. No help passing off fakes
You must not use Legit Wear, its results or its certificates to help sell, pass off or misrepresent counterfeit items. We may suspend accounts and withdraw certificates if we believe this has happened.
5. Money back if we get it wrong
If a final answer from Legit Wear ("Authentic" or "Fake") is shown to be wrong, we refund what you paid for that check. Write to hello@legitwear.app within 30 days of the check with the result link and what shows the answer was wrong, such as a decision from the platform, the brand or another authentication service. It doesn't apply to results given as a percentage, which are not final answers, or where the photos submitted weren't of the item in question. The refund is the price of the check; it does not cover the item or any other loss.
6. Our liability
To the extent allowed by law, Legit Wear's total liability for any check is limited to the amount you paid for that check. Always buy through platforms that offer buyer protection.
